You never said ANYTHING about Duke not having as many players leave early as UNC. I brought it up because you said that Duke does not recruit the same kind of kids, the kids that leave early.

I just re-read the thread. You said Duke does not recruit the same kind of kids that UNC does, which I proved was false. You also said Duke rarely has kids that leave school early, which was also false.

How bout this:
If you can find your quote in the other thread that says specifically that Duke does not have near as many kids that go pro early as UNC, and I will admit I am wrong.

The quote was that Duke does not recruit the same kind of people that UNC recruits, not that Duke doesn't have as many players that leave early compared to UNC.

Don't care to rehash that whole other thread but I would venture to wager that Duke is far below any other bigtime schools numbers of kids that left early. Duke had never had a kid leave early till Elton Brand in 1999-00.

One kind of leads to the other from my POV. Duke has kids that are less likely to leave early than those at UNC (which you said yourself in this current thread). That means they're a different kind of player (not as NBA ready, more academically engaged in Duke's cirriculum)...and that's for the most part vis-a-vis UNC--not 100% all the time "no Duke player ever leaves early" like you tried to attribute to me. I don't see where that point is wrong at all. I'm not saying UNC's kids are dumb and just want to go to the NBA and Duke's got a bunch of Rhodes Scholars up & down the bench--that's not what I've said at all here or in that other thread...but you keep taking that stance w/me.

UNC/Duke both recruit highly rated players--true. They recruit some of the same players--true. If they recruit the same kind of players across the board as you say, no difference between the two...then why do UNC players leave early more often than Duke players do, and why is there a stark difference in style between the two types of basketball both schools tend to play? The answer to my question is two-fold...coaching, and style of players brought in.

All I'm going to say is this--you said that Duke does not have as many kids that leave early as other schools. I said the same thing in the other thread, and you acted like I scalded you with boiling oil and argued vehemently the other side. I agree with you here, call you out for saying one thing there and then another on this thread, and you're taking offense to it.
